Right, I`ve had my head in the search engines and I`ve come up with a few facts about our opposition in the FA Cup first round proper.

AFC Hornchurch are actually based in Upminster with their ground, The Stadium in Bridge Avenue, being located just north of the Dartford River crossing.

It`s easily accessible by public transport with the nearest rail station being Upminster which nestles on the Southend / Shoeburyness line.

Alternatively, you can use the London Underground. The District Line goes as far east as Upminster Bridge.

Their nickname is The Urchins and to get into the first round proper they beat Tonbridge Angles, 3-0.

They play in the Ryman Premier League and after thirteen games they`ve amassed seventeen points having won five games, drawn two and lost six.

Last season AFC Hornchurch were foiled at the last hurdle in their attempt to get into the first round proper losing out to Team Bath, a club who have also made it through this season.

Admission to enter the ground is normally £9 for adults and £6 for concessions, however, we`re not sure if they`ll raise their prices when we visit in an attempt to maximise profit.

Further information on AFC Hornchurch will be forthcoming as the tie approaches.
