Peterborough United striker Nicky Ajose has joined League One outfit Crawley Town on loan.

Nicky Ajose

Signed last summer from Manchester United, Ajose started life at Posh as the number one striker. Unfortunately his debut lasted only 30 minutes of the opening day fixture against Crystal Palace.

A hamstring injury stalled his Posh career as other players made the most of his injury as they played in his place and deservedly kept their place.

On return from injury, he failed to break back into the first team and was sent out on unsuccessful loans.

He was placed on the transfer list at the end of last season but has looked sharp and lively in pre-season scoring in the last two matches against Manchester United and WBA.

He has now joined Crawley Town on loan for an initial 3 month period.

He will go straight into The Reds squad for the season opener against Scunthorpe United, the team he spent time on loan at last season!
