Peterborough United forward Nicky Ajose has returned from a trial spell at St.Johnstone.
The 21-year-old transfer listed forward has returned to London Road after a brief spell on trial with Scottish Premiership side St.Johnstone.
It is expected Ajose will finally depart Posh before the end of the current transfer window after enduring a torrid time since signing from Manchester United. He has a few irons in the fire with St.Johnstone being one of them.
His trial at the Perth Saints has nothing to do with Peterborough`s interest in Scottish Under 21 striker Stevie May. Darren Ferguson confirmed this after Saturdays win over Oldham Athletic while Saints boss Tommy Wright said: ‘I can state categorically it had nothing to do with Stevie May and Peterborough.’
Despite returning to Posh, Wright still has Ajose in his thoughts as to a potential signing: ‘Nicky Ajose is back away down south now to his club. We are still thinking about him.’
