Peterborough United have been handed an away tie in the next round of the Checkatrade Trophy.

Posh will face a second successive away trip to a League Two side in the next round of the Checkatrade Trophy.

The draw for the fourth round took place last night [Thursday, 11th January] which saw no teams seeded and no regionalisation.

Posh were pulled out second after Lincoln City which means they`ll come up against a side that has former Posh players Lee Frecklington, Michael Bostwick and Harry Anderson in their squad.

The full draw for the quarter finals is as follows:

Lincoln City v Peterborough United
Shrewsbury Town v Oldham Athletic/Leicester City U23
Chelsea U23 v Oxford United
Yeovil Town v Fleetwood Town

Dates for each quarter final clash will be confirmed by the sides involved in the coming week but will take place during the week commencing 22nd January, 2018.

Posh Chairman Darragh MacAnthony was reasonably happy with the draw despite it being away from home as he tweeted:

Don`t forget to vote in the following polls that are running at the time of print:
