Peterborough United will be looking to continue from where they left off on Saturday after picking up their first points of the season.

Barnsley -Vs- Peterborough United
Venue: Oakwell Stadium
Date: 2nd October, 2012
Kick-off: 19:45pm

Few people would`ve predicted the Posh score on Saturday as they travelled to Hull who were unbeaten at home this season. Six changes in personnel and a change in formation certainly halted the string of defeats Posh had suffered up until that point.

Can Posh do the business again and come away with all three points?

It could be a very tight game when you consider in the four League games Barnsley have played at home, they have scored four goals and conceded two goals which resulted from two 1-0 wins and two 1-1 draws.

Should Posh come away with a point, they should feel satisfied with four points out of the two away games.

TEAM NEWS

Barnsley

Tykes boss Keith Hill is pondering on the return to the starting line-up of John Stones. Stones has recovered from an ankle injury and returned to action when making a substitute appearance against Ipswich on Saturday.

Bobby Hassell is also in the thoughts of Hill having served a ban although Toni Silva is likely to miss out despite recovering from a knee injury..

Former Posh goalkeeper Luke Steele has yet to make his first appearance of the season having been out injured.

Peterborough United

With the success of Saturday, Darren Ferguson will name an unchanged team which means that captain Gaby Zakuani will again start the match on the bench.

There will be just one change to the subs bench where new WBA teenage forward loanee Saido Berahino [pictured below] will take his place having signed on loan for three months. The youngster has yet to play a League game for WBA but has had two successful spells on loan last season at Northampton and Brentford.

With the same set-up as Saturday, it will mean the retention of the 3-5-2 formation which seemed to make us stronger defensively and allowed the wingbacks freedom to venture forward without the worry of leaving gaps at the back.

Vital Posh predicts the starting line-up will be:

Olejnik

Alcock, Brisley, Knight-Percival

Bostwick, Ferdinand
Little                           Rowe
Boyd

Sinclair, Barnett

HOTSHOTS

Barnsley

8 – Davies
2 – Dagnall
2 – Mellis

Peterborough United

3 – Emile Sinclair
2 – George Boyd

REFEREE

He will be assisted by Paul Graham and Robert Merchant.

The fourth official is Mark Griffiths.

PREDICTION

Posh will be in a much more confident mood after Saturdays 3-1 win at Hull but that is just one result in what has been a very disappointing season so far. Posh need to back up that win with another battling performance.

We may sound negative here but a goalless draw wouldn`t be a bad result. The last time that happened was 129 games ago! Vital Posh predicts a close match which could go either way or it could end up goalless. Posh to draw: 0 – 0.
