Bleo vs Barry…

So both sides have had their say over the pre-match departure of POSH caretaker manager Steve Bleasdale on Saturday.

First to hit the airwaves was the outgoing man whose departure seems to me to have more than a passing relevance to his old boss Mark Wright having been granted a two year deal at Chester…

But anyway here is a brief summary of who hinted at what and I will leave you to make your mind up…

Bleo

*The team was being picked by a committee of Fry, Atkinsion, Legg and himself.
*Felt undermined over others interfearing with his selections and tactics.
*Felt too proud to let it go on.

Fry
*Bleo couldn’t make a decision and stick to it.
*Had come in from training and admitted that the players had put up the white flag .

The interesting thing I took from both interviews was that both men seem to think that they made the decision.

Barry Fry was saying that he gave Bleo too much responsibility too soon and that he was a passionate man who gave 100%… Did he sack him then?

Peversely, I can see this being a positive thing (not just because this website is ‘Positive about POSH’!!), Bleasdale had clearly got problems with the side and couldn’t handle all the people getting involved with his decision making.

Secondly, and most POSH fans will disagree with this, I think Fry has a much better chance of getting this side into and through the play-offs than the former man.

I am sure there is much more to come out in the wash about this, and I will keep the site updated as and when this happens.
