Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson has refused to give up on a play-off place despite his side sitting four points outside the last qualifying place.

Posh are currently tenth in the League Two table and considered outsiders to secure a top-seven finish with just three games of the campaign remaining.

But the rookie boss has urged his players to keep believing in a play-off place and has refused to concede defeat.

‘Every week I say we’re still in with a chance and this week is no different,’ he said ahead of Saturday’s visit of Hereford United.

‘We need to keep our season going as long as possible and if we win on Saturday we’ll still be in it.’
