Peterborough were ripped apart on Saturday as they suffered a 5-1 defeat at Bournemouth.

Bournemouth, newly promoted to league one, were in control within the opening 20 minutes as goals from Pugh (10) and Robinson (20) left the visitors with a hill to climb. This hill became a mountain as two strike from Pitman (50 & 57) put the Cherries 4-0 up before the hour mark.

Just after the hour Langmead (61) pulled one back for Posh, although Pitman (65) secured his hat-trick and the resounding win minutes later.

This result has sent Peterborough crashing back to earth with a bump hasn’t it, although was it as one sided as the scoreline would suggest?
