Moving from non-league Welling to League One Peterborough United has provided Craig Braham-Barrett with an ideal opportunity to further his football career.

The young full back, signed to provide defensive cover after the latest injury to Shane Blackett, has announced his arrival at London Road by suggesting he’s prepared to fight for a regular berth in the starting eleven.

Speaking to a local radio station, he’s remarked,

‘I’ve been told to [expect to wait till] towards Christmas time, but I’ve always been a person who pushes on.’

‘So I’m hoping [to get involved] within the next two or three weeks.’

‘I’m a confident player,’ he said. ‘I do like to bomb on and I’ve got a great delivery, so hopefully I can bring something new to the team.’

Let’s hope Posh have signed somebody to follow in the footsteps of the likes of George Boyd, Aaron McLean and Craig Mackail-Smith, all of who have made the transition from non-league football to full time football.

Here at Vital Posh we wish the lad well.
