Who has won the first Posh Player of the Month poll?

Posh endured a disappointing start to the season winning just two of the seven matches they faced. One of those wins was against a League Two side in the Capital One Cup.

Dave Robertson had seen his caretaker manager role made into a permanent position in the summer but the form shown at the end of last season continued in to the new season?not something he or anyone connected at the club wanted or expected!

In the seven matches played during August, 20 different players made an appearance in a Posh shirt, of which 15 played in at least half the matches. Two of those players are loanees; Alex Davey, who was an ever-present in August, is from Chelsea and Calum Elder came in at the end of the month from Leicester City when regular left back Kgosi Nthle suffered an injury.

Posh scored eight goals in the seven matches but conceded 13 goals! They kept one clean sheet while scoring in all bar one match.

The August man of the match awards have been evenly split with just one player picking up two man of the match awards.
