Farrell made 387 appearances for Posh scoring 53 goals but it is his hat-trick in the Third Division play-off second-leg against Barnet 0n 17th May, 2000 that he is fondly remembered for.

Currently employed by Posh, Farrell enjoyed a meal with his family prior to the game and was presented with a decanter by club historian Peter Lane in front of almost 10,000 supporters.

Other Posh legends already inducted into the Posh Hall of Fame include Ken Charlery, Chris Turner and another wing-wizard, Tommy Robson.
