Location: ABAX Stadium
Date: Saturday, 28th April, 2018
Attendance: 4,667

Posh boss Steve Evans was disappointed with his side in the final third of the pitch especially in the first half but was delighted with Jack Marriott and George Cooper who scored the goals that gave Posh victory.

Posh weren’t “overly great” but there were some “commanding performances” said Evans in his post-match interview with The Posh TV.

Evans substituted both Marcus Maddison and Marriott who both quite rightfully received standing ovations as it could be the last home match they appear for Posh. Maddison was visibly knackered after having missed the last four matches through injury as Evans touched on the injury to missing striker Junior Morias. Morias turned his ankle in training on Friday and will be sent for a scan this week. Morias could be missing for a few weeks but Evans is hopeful it’s “not long term and allows the kid to be back for pre-season”. Will that pre-season be at Posh though or is Morias surplus to requirements which many Posh fans believe?
