Wolverhampton Wanderers have sacked their manager Dean Saunders and bookies have installed Posh boss Darren Ferguson as the favourite!

It`s not the first time Fergie has been linked with the vacant Wolves job as he was one of the favourites last summer to take charge of the newly relegated team. Wolves, at that time, had been relegated from the Premiership but they have now suffered a second successive relegation and now find themselves in the same position as Posh in League One for the 2013/2014 season.

Fergie is a former Wolves player having had a spell between 1994 and 1999 and so would be familiar with the club. Wolves would also offer Fergie the type of money he could only dream of as they still receive millions in parachute payments from the Premier League.

Kenny Jacket, who today also left his post as Millwall manager, is currently second favourite to take over at Molineux.

The odds on the next Wolves manager are:

5/2 Darren Ferguson
5/1 Kenny Jacket
6/1 Owen Coyle
8/1 Karl Robinson
10/1 Mickey Adams
10/1 Gary Megson
12/1 Paul Ince
16/1 Roy Keane

Darren Ferguson is currently fifth favourite to take over at Millwall.
