Sir Alex may be departing the Old Trafford hotseat but Peterborough United Chairman has confirmed manager Darren Ferguson will not be leaving Posh to go to any other club!
With vacant managerial seats at Millwall and Wolverhampton Wanderers, Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson name had been thrown into the betting pot as one of the favourites for both jobs.
However, news eminating from club owner, Darragh MacAnthony, has quashed all the rumours by confirming his manager will be staying at London Road: “Just to confirm Posh fans, DF will not be going to any other club & is already planning with me about our title push next season.
“Both he and Rooster [Kevin Russell – Assistant Manager] travelling to the states next week to spend few days with me planning everything. Im already excited about new season.” he continued on Twitter.
MacAnthony also confirmed his commitment to getting Posh back into the Championship: “Those 7 minutes last Saturday won’t define us as a club but will make the youngest squad in FL stronger and hungrier next season for success.”
