Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson and his assistant Kevin Russell have both been banned for one match by The FA following an incident that took place at the home match with Doncaster Rovers on 1st October 2011.

An Independent Regulatory Commission has today (Tuesday) confirmed that the Posh duo will each face a one match touchline ban with immediate effect and a £2,000 fine.

Both admitted a charge of using language and/or behaviour amounting to improper conduct.

They will both be absent from the touchline for this weekends away match to bottom of the table Bristol City in the npower Championship
