Peterborough United will play in a friendly against Kettering Town on Wednesday [15th February] to raise funds for the financially stricken club, subject to final confirmation.

The match is subject to final confirmation from the usual authorities but the fund raising friendly will take part at Nene Park in Irthlingborough this Wednesday between cash strapped Kettering Town and Peterborough United.

The match is being organised by the Kettering Town (Poppies) Supporters Trust and entrance will be by donation to the Trust collected prior to entry to the stadium.

All donations are voluntary.

The ‘normal’ price for a game such as this would have been £7 for all classes except under 16’s at £3.

Car parking would have been £3 for everyone and we hope on this night supporters will all use the car park.

It is likely that only the terrace and South stand only will be open as will Strikers Bar before the game at half time and afterwards.

The organisers are grateful to Barry Fry and all at Peterborough for agreeing to play the match.

Posh are playing in Cardiff in the npower Championship the previous night [Tuesday 14th February] so a team made up of reserves and youth team players are expected.

Kick off is at 7.45pm
