Vital Posh looks at previous matches between Derby County and Peterborough United.
Derby County host Peterborough United for only the fourth time in the League in what will be the last match of the 2011/2012 npower Championship.
The last time Posh travelled to Pride Park was on the first day of the 2009/2010 npower Championship when Derby narrowly won by two goals to one.
There is nothing to split these two teams when League matches are concerned. Both teams have won three times each with there being just one draw.
Posh won the fixture earlier in the season 3-2, despite being 2-0 down at half time!

Last Time Out at Pride Park
Posh kicked off only their third season at the second tier of English football when they travelled to Pride Park to face Derby County.
With just over 33,000 fans packing the stadium, Posh seemed overawed at playing in front of such a big crowd and Derby took full advantage when taking the lead after just four minutes on the clock. With the first corner of the game causing Posh problems, the ball was headed back across the box by Jake Buxton to the head of giant centre back Miles ADDISION who calmly put the Rams one up to the delight of the home support.
Derby nearly doubled their advantage after 11 minutes when a cross from Paul Connelly was met by Davies but he could only direct his header wide of the target.
Posh thought they`d drawn themselves level half way through the first half after Craig Mackail-Smith poked the ball into the back of the net from a Tommy Rowe cross, but he was adjudged to have been off-side.
Two minutes later, Gary Teale effortlessly went past Charlie Lee and striding into the penalty area, he could only put the ball wide of the target.
A good free-kick from Paul Coutts [pictured below] found the head of centre back Gaby Zakuani, but his header looped wide of the goal. Moments later, an excellent move by Posh with Tom Williams, George Boyd and Rowe combining to set up a chance for Aaron McLean but they could only watch on as McLean put the effort wide.
Midfielder Dean Keates was booked near the end of the first half after some persistent fouling; mainly on Robbie Savage who seemed to tell the referee throughout the match what decisions he should be making!
Half-time: Derby County 1 – 0 Peterborough United
Darren Ferguson kept faith with the starting eleven for the start of the second half but Derby made one change bringing on Kris Commons for Green.
Zakuani was in the right place at the right time to stop a Davies effort following a good cross from Teale before the impressive Coutts nearly scored for Posh from 25-yards but he was inches away with Stephen Bywater rooted to the spot.
Lee Frecklington was introduced after 52 minutes in place of Keates as Posh pushed for an equaliser. McLean nearly grabbed a goal but he could only shoot straight at Bywater. CMS was also denied by Bywater just 60 seconds later following a cross by Williams.
Darren Ferguson had definitely settled Posh down at half time as they came out looking a much improved team. Another good move by Posh fell to Frecklington who burst through only to see Bywater save well.
Joe Lewis had to be on his toes moments later as Teale sent an effort towards goal, but Lewis did well to save it.
During an open second half, Posh finally got their rewards with just six minutes remaining of the match. Zakuani released substitute Batt but his run was halted by a foul by Bywater in the area for a penalty. George BOYD stepped up to convert the penalty.
The Posh celebrations didn`t last long though when an inswinging corner from Commons was poorly defended by Lee and who actually headed the ball against the Posh bar before the ball dropped nicely to TEALE who fired the ball into the roof of the net to bring back the one goal advantage to Derby.
Posh were buoyed by the five minutes of added time, but they had little effect as Derby easily saw out the remaining minutes and could`ve extended their lead if it wasn`t for the excellent goalkeeping of Joe Lewis. Kris Commons was the man unfortunate to see his added time effort saved superbly.
