Peterborough United have released an official statement declaring that they have ended their sponsorship agreement with kit manufacturer Admiral.

Admiral who also supply the England cricket team had one more year to run of their deal to supply POSH with kits and training wear.

In fact the club had gone so far as to insist that the current Admiral away kit would be staying for next season (but with the new main sponsor replacing Hotpoint on the front) and the fans had voted on three different home shirt designs from the company for this coming season.

The statment is a little vague on whether the home kit the fans voted for will be used.

But it does add that they will be going Italian having signed up Diadora to replace them. This will apparently provide better quality kits and training wear and with the contract signed for three years, POSH fans can snap up the new clothing safe in the knowledge it wont be out of date within a year.

People are very quick to criticise the club and the staff behind the scenes… praise is due this time.

Well done POSH.
