Earlier this week we reported that several clubs have latched on to the fact Craig Mackail-Smith is carving out a reputation as a striker.

So much so that Birmingham have been joined as potential suitors in the chase to try and prise him away from London Road in January, by the Premiership duo of West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn.

Today, one leading tabloid (if there is such a thing) is suggesting that the West Bromwich manager, Tony Mowbray is prepared to offer £2 million for the twenty-four year old.

Suddenly the stakes are getting a little higher, I wonder how high they will have to go before we consider it a viable option to sell?
