Peterborough United captain Grant McCann has been called up to the Northern Ireland squad.

Posh skipper McCann has been named in the Northern Ireland squad for their forthcoming international friendly against Norway on Wednesday 29th February at Windsor Park.

Northern Irelands new manager Michael O’Neill has named a party of 24 players for his first game in charge and McCann is hoping to be included in the starting line-up.

Capped 36 times so far, McCann has received eight of those caps whilst at Posh. He has scored 4 goals for his country with his last goal coming in a friendly against Israel in 2009.

McCann won’t miss any games for Posh while he’s away on international duty.
