A Peterborough United midfielder in the last year of his contract at the club has extended his loan agreement with his current side!

Jordan Nicholson makes his debut for Posh v Millwall

Midfielder Jordan Nicholson has extended his loan agreement with Nuneaton Town until the end of the season.

Nicholson`s contract at Posh finishes at the end of the season so we`ve probably seen the last of the 24-year-old who never really broke through into the first team apart from a couple of appearances in the first few months of being at the club.

The attacking midfielder spent the majority of last season on loan at Nuneaton before being recalled in March but he returned to the National League North side at the start of this season. His loan deal ran out this month but the non-league side were keen to get him back on board after featuring 25 times this season scoring 12 goals and assisting on 7 goals.

After agreeing terms on the new loan, Nicholson said: “I just wanted the deal done so I could stay here. I knew other teams were interested, but that didn`t bother me.

“I`ve been here a while now, I enjoy the club, I feel I am developing as a player, I just wanted that to continue. There was no chance of me going elsewhere.”

“I am out of contract in the summer at Peterborough so I want to keep playing at this level.

“I am not worried about it, I am just focusing on my loan here, I want to finish strong, I want the team to finish strong. That is my only aim as of now.

“I won`t be thinking of what`s next. I just want to keep doing what I am doing for Nuneaton.”
