Posh released their retained list yesterday [Sunday, 6th May] with 11 players staying at the club with 13 being made available for transfer.
The announcement has received a mixed response although many feel Posh boss Steve Evans has got it just about right. A few have questioned some of the names on the transfer list including central defender Steven Taylor, defensive midfielder Anthony Grant and striker Junior Morias.
Here are just a few of the many tweets relating to the Posh retained list:
Glad junior is on the transfer list tbh, my only worry is he’ll still be here next season because no one will want him #pufc

Buzzing that Grant has been put on the list. Still no clue what people see in him #pufc

Gutted to see Grant on the list. He’s been so unappreciated this season and think he’ll leave a hard-to-replace hole should he move on #pufc https://t.co/V1QvtkGdZ7

Anthony Grant one has baffled me! That midfield enforcer every team needs and great at mopping up in front of the defence. Feel there’s more to that one #pufc

I agree with the #pufc list, but would swap Taylor & Grant for Leo. Looking forward to seeing everything new come August

Other than Taylor and Grant not too fussed about the others who were listed #pufc

Personally feel Junior Morias can count himself unlucky. Offered something very different up front and was a key player up until his injury. The commitment he showed to get back to fitness early was astounding too! If only others showed such desire! #pufc

Junior Morias being told he can leave is a bit surprising I guess, but think it’s the right decision. Club have finally given up on Jermaine Anderson as well it seems….#PUFC

Jermaine Anderson held the club to ransom for more money, despite being injured for ages and just being shit whenever he did play. Now the season is over, he’s on the transfer list. What a club. #pufc

Agree with that list although Leo better step up next season and start scoring. #pufc
