Peterborough United are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Junior Morais in the three two victory over Wigan Athletic at the weekend at London Road was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Morais was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘One of the most entertaining games of the weekend eventually swung the way of Peterborough United, and Morias more than played his part with two emphatic finishes. His first was lashed beyond the Wigan Athletic keeper and he added another with a well-struck effort from distance, before strike partner Jack Marriott sealed a thrilling 3-2 win.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Morais for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Joe Murphy (Bury), Danny Grainger (Carlisle United), Yoann Barbet (Brentford), Oliver Lancashire (Swindon Town), Tony McMahon (Bradford City), Jodi Jones (Coventry City), Erhun Oztumer (Walsall), Jimmy Smith (Crawley Town), Billy Bodin (Bristol Rovers), Kieffer Moore (Rotherham United), Junior Morais (Peterborough United).

Manager – Chris Wilder (Sheffield United).
