Posh midfielder Adil Nabi has joined National League North side Nuneaton Town in a loan deal until the end of the season.

Adil Nabi v Shrewsbury 2

Nabi joined the Posh on a three and a half year deal in January 2016, from West Bromwich Albion. He linked up with Graham Westley’s Posh team and made his debut from the substitutes bench in a 2-1 loss to Gillingham.

After Westley’s departure, Nabi found first team football hard to come by, and has been transfer listed by the Posh for a considerable amount of time. In January 2017, Nabi was set to join Port Vale, but the deal fell through when Vale sacked their manager.

He made 8 appearances for the Posh, and now moves out on loan in an attempt to re-ignite his career at a club that has benefitted from a strong relationship with Posh. Jordan Nicholson had been on loan at Nuneaton before he was sold to Barnet on deadline day. Alex Penny joined the Posh in the summer from Nuneaton.

Good luck, Adil!
