Naughty, Naughty Posh!

News has filtered through that Posh have been naughty boys and will face censure.

Apparently, we`ve been hit with an FA charge for making an illegal approach for the Ebbsfleet striker Kwesi Apiah.

Whether it`s serious enough to warrant a public flogging remains to be seen.

It would appear that the rule we broke related to allowing the player to train with us before a statutory seven-day approach bid had elapsed.

If anyone can explain what that means then please let us know.

A spokesperson for the Football Association has stepped forward to read the charge sheet proclaiming,

‘Peterborough United have been charged under the rule relating to an illegal approach. They have asked for a personal hearing, but no date has yet been fixed.’

As for the hearing, the clubs involved have also had something to mutter with Posh spokesperson, the chief of defence, Barry Fry claiming,

Posh are “looking forward to the hearing.”

With the Ebbsfleet chairman, Roly Edwards already dancing in the streets commenting,

‘It’s great news. I’m aware it isn’t over yet, but I’m pleased that our complaint has been vindicated.”

‘Our manager Liam Daish has been really restrained in the face of some unnecessary comments. He has acted very professionally.’

So, what is a suitable punishment?

Would a choice between sixty lashes or forcing us to go to play Ebbsfleet in a friendly?

Personally, I`d take the first option.
