Vital Posh looks at the form of both Peterborough United and Reading ahead of the npower Championship clash on Tuesday evening at London Road.

Posh have picked up their form in their last two games while beating play-off hopefuls Blackpool 3-1 before narrowly losing 3-2 away at Ipswich at the weekend.

Reading are on an amazing run of form having won nine out of their last ten matches!

Peterborough United

Posh will be hoping to repeat their last home performance when the beat Blackpool 3-1 following a much improved performance. A defeat away to Ipswich soon followed but the overall performance was much better and in truth, they were unlucky to come away from Suffolk without any points.

After a poor start to the year, Posh have started to turn their form around and have now won two out of their last three home matches.

Sitting in 18th position, Posh are 10 points from the relegation positions and a further three points could virtually guarantee Championship football next season.

So far this season at home, Posh have won eight, drawn two and lost seven. They have netted 34 times at London Road while conceding 29 goals.

Striker Paul Taylor (pictured below) is the leading scorer for Posh this season with 9 League goals. Emile Sinclair and Grant McCann both have 8 goals each while Lee Tomlin is just behind them on seven goals. Tyrone Barnett has 16 League goals but 13 of those were scored for Crawley Town. He has scored in three out of the four games he has played in for Posh so far.

If the game finishes goalless, it will be the first time a Posh match has finished 0-0 in 112 games!

The Royals have won ten games on their travels while drawing three and losing just five matches. They have scored 24 goals away from home while conceding just 15! Only Hull City have conceded fewer goals on their travels.

Reading`s last match on their travels was last Saturday when they stormed to a 4-0 win over Barnsley. Prior to that, the last time they lost away from home was at the start of January when they went down 3-1 to Cardiff. Since then, they have won five games and drawn one!
