Portsmouth are the final hosts of Peterborough United in the 2017/18 Sky Bet League One season. With nothing riding on the result other than who will finish above who, what do you think the score will be?

Portsmouth -Vs- Peterborough United
Venue: Fratton Park
Date: Saturday, 5th May, 2018
Kick-off: 17:30pm

Posh travel to the south coast on Saturday for the final League One match of the season to face the side immediately below them, Portsmouth.

Pompey are just a point behind Posh so could leapfrog them should they win the match while Posh could drop down three places if they were to lose and Southend United beat mid-table Bristol Rovers. Bradford City could also go above Posh should they pick up four points from their final two matches. If Posh win, they would remain in eighth place.

Posh stopped a run of four defeats on the bounce on Saturday when defeating Fleetwood Town two-nil thanks to goals from Jack Marriott and George Cooper. They could inflict a fourth straight defeat for Pompey if Posh pick up their second win in a row.

Pompey lost one-nil at relegated Bury on Saturday thanks to a cock-up by former Posh goalkeeper Luke McGee. McGee failed to clear a back-pass before being tackled by Middlesbrough loanee George Miller, with the loose ball rolling over the goal-line!

Earlier in the season, Posh overcame a spirited fightback from Pompey to record a two-one victory. After a goalless first-half, Posh took the lead through top scorer Jack Marriott before an own-goal doubled Posh’s advantage. Conor Chaplin pulled a goal back twelve minutes from time but Posh held out to claim all three points.

Can Posh do the same in the return fixture and pick up maximum points or will Pompey finish their home season off with a victory?
