And so we`ve played our final game in League One, for the foreseeable future and, on reflection, perhaps we should be grateful that promotion was achieved at Colchester last weekend.

Swindon produced a resilient performance to take a share of the spoils in a four goal thriller and as we entered injury time it looked as if our visitors might take all three points with Posh trailing.

With London Road packed to the rafters, apart from a few gaps on the visitors terrace, it was the prolific Simon Cox who put the visitors ahead when he slotted home his goal of the season on sixteen minutes.

Our own goal machine, Craig Mackail-Smith, levelled matters seven minutes before half time but Cox, tracked by West Bromwich Albion, scored his thirtieth of the season almost immediately.

Trailing for long periods in the second half it looked as we`d suffer a home defeat when Aaron McLean missed a late penalty but in a style that probably represents the fantastic way our season has gone, it was left to Dean Keates to level matters with a super free kick two minutes into stoppage time.
