If there is any doubt that the Championship is not a level playing field then read on??!

With the transfer window shut, and the loan window about to open, Darren Ferguson has spoken out, on Radio Cambridgeshire, about the difficulties he faced when trying to recruit somebody before the window shut.

The figures quoted maek for stark reading,

“I’ve enquired about three or four players and spoken to their managers and have been quoted wages of £13,000 a week with appearance money on top’

‘It’s not going to be possible, not with gates of 8,000 – and that’s no disrespect to the fans, because they’ve been great.’
