Anyone who has a ticket for the FA Cup 1st round tie against AFC Hornchurch this Sunday and who may have been thinking of going via the tube network may want to think again.

We have it on reliable information that Upminster Station will be closed this Sunday.

Therefore it may be necessary rro you to drive and the AA recommended route takes you on the following journey,

A1, A14, M11, M25 heading towards the Dartford Tunnel.

Leave M25 at junction 29 and take first exit onto A127 (signposted Southend, Basildon).

After a mile branch left onto B186 towards Upminster then join the B187 (signposted Upminster).

Join the A124 and turn left onto Bridge Avenue and stadium.

There is car parking at the ground.

It`s a total distance of 91 miles approximately.

Good luck!
