Posh – And in the Next Round we`d Like!

Earlier in the competition, I believe it was Barry Fry who when hearing we`d drawn Ipswich Town in the Carling Cup dismissed it as a rubbish draw.

Thankfully, Ipswich were overcome and the next round gave us a slightly more attractive tie with Posh facing Newcastle, despite a few misgiving Posh gave, what I believe, to be the performance of the season so far and Newcastle were soundly beaten.

Now we sit in the hat with fifteen other sides awaiting the draw this Saturday. Most of those other sides are Premiership class and there is a fair chance we`ll pull a plum tie out of the hat.

Hell, we could even draw Manchester United at Old Trafford, seemingly with Sir Alex`s blessing with him commenting last night, after his team had beaten Wolves,

“Who would I like next? Peterborough at home. All the family will be happy with that.”

Now I`m not sure that is my ideal tie, I`d prefer a home tie against a lesser light, possibly Bolton, a tie that would leave us with ample opportunity of reaching the quarter-finals!

But, and we`d really like a bit of interaction here, who would you like to see us face and would you prefer a home or an away tie?
