Yesterday, amidst al the talk that seemed to be thrown up as a smokescreen for the signing of two players (one on loan) we were treated to a few quotes from Barry Fry that fulfil all the agenda items above.
Despite being linked with every club this side of Hadrians Wall, and a few on the other side as well, Darren Ferguson found time to implant the name of another potential signing into the minds of those who control such things.
We`ll let Barry take up the story,
“The manager came up with another name over the weekend. It is someone we enquired about during last season, but were told he wasn`t available.”
“That has changed now and we have spoken to both the club and the player, but I can`t let you know any more than the fact he is not from a Premiership side.”
