Peterborough United have announced the two charities they will be working with this season.

Posh Charities for 2014-2015

Every year, Posh select two charities to raise funds for and this year, they have decided to work with two charities that do such great work at either end of the age spectrum – NSPCC Peterborough Business Support Group and Age UK Peterborough.

Age UK Peterborough Chief Executive, David Bache said: “We are thrilled to have been chosen by Peterborough United FC as one of their charities of the year. This will not only give us the opportunity to raise much needed funding, but more importantly help to raise awareness and reach out to some of the most vulnerable and hard to reach older people in Peterborough”.

Posh Chief Executive Bob Symns said: “We have been inundated with requests for charitable donations and support and although we are committed to supporting local causes wherever possible, it is increasingly difficult to support every request. Therefore, as in previous years, we have decided to work exclusively with two charitable organisations for the 2014-2015 season.

“We are delighted to be supporting Age UK Peterborough and the NSPCC Peterborough Business Support Group and look forward in trying to raise as much money as possible.”

Posh are also supporting the Football League charity initiatives Help for Heroes, Help for Hospices, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Prostate Cancer UK, for which Vital Posh are supporting and for which we helped raise money last season.
