With our interest in the Crewe striker Calvin Zola having been abruptly ended when Barry Fry found out how much the player would cost, the tabloids have given us supporters a fresh name fro consideration.

The player in question is Chris Dagnall who has netted 12 times for Rochdale this season in their promotion drive.

Apparently, Dagnall is out of contract in the summer and it is thought that Rochdale would be appreciative of a fee, somewhere in the region of £250,000.

However, with Norwich City also, reputedly, showing some interest, there is a chance that fee may rise if something akin to an auction starts.
