Posh – Are Attitudes Changing?

All the bluster about pushing for a Premier League place inside three years looks to have been a little bullish.

Even more so when you consider not too long ago we were looking for a play-off place come May.

Now the official mantra seems to indicate that anything but relegation will be a success this season and turning Posh into a stable Championship would be a tremendous achievement, in fact Darren Ferguson, speaking to the media recently, has indicated it would be the greatest achievement, so far, of his managerial career remarking,

‘Staying in this division and establishing ourselves as a Championship club would be a far bigger achievement than winning two promotions.”

‘We are basically in a mini-Premier League now. There are some huge clubs with lots of tradition and big fan-bases and it’s hard for us.”

‘I knew it would be before we started and nothing I have seen has made me change my mind. It’s been disappointing how the season has gone so far, but trust me we will be fine in the long run.”

The last point is interesting and already there are mumblings around the internet that some supporters are turning against Darren.

To us that is absolutely ludicrous!

Without Darren would we be where we are now? No is my opinion!
