Bristol City manager Sean O`Driscoll believes of the three teams relegated from the Championship last season, Peterborough United are best prepared to go straight back up!

It is the second League One manager in recent weeks that has publically stated that Peterborough United could be the team to get promoted this season!

Rotherham United`s Steve Evans was the first to come out and back Posh, now it`s Sean O`Driscoll from Bristol City.

Wolves are the stand out team who will be expected to go straight back up to the Championship according to O`Driscoll, but he believes Posh have a far better chance.

Speaking to bcfc.co.uk, O`Driscoll said: “The Championship was very competitive from top to bottom and there was very little between the sides.

“In League One it`ll become a little easier in some respects, but a little harder in others. What I mean by that is when teams come to Ashton Gate I`m sure they will raise their game, as they will going to Wolves.

“Wolves have to get promoted. They`ve come down from the Premier League to League One in two seasons; they`re still getting parachute money. They will be expected to go straight back up.

“However, if you look at the three teams who came down from the Championship, Peterborough are probably more ready to play at this level than ourselves and Wolves.

“When you look at the results they had at the end of last season, you`d say Peterborough were unlucky to go down and it`s almost in their DNA – they`ve got a way of playing that has got them promoted from League One twice before.

“It took nine seasons for this club to get promoted back to the second tier last time around. Obviously we don`t want that to be the case again; we want to bounce back stronger.

“We have to find a way – like I said when we walked through the door – for the team to be successful and play in a way that excites the supporters. But that`s regardless of what division we`re in; I`d be saying the same if we were still in the Championship.

“We`ve said a lot of things and tried to be consistent. People will now judge us for what happens, rather than give us the benefit of doubt, which is fair enough.”
