Its been a long haul back but Shane Blackett is almost back in contention again.

The defender, who dislocated a shoulder for the second time this season, during the 3-3 away draw at Carlisle, has come unscathed through training this week.

Therefore, much to the delight of my wife, Shane will return to action in the reserves fixture against Luton Town, next Wednesday evening.

Speaking about his imminent return, Darren Ferguson has remarked to the media,

“Shane has worked very hard with the physiotherapist and has looked sharp in training, so we will see how he does in the reserves against Luton Town next Wednesday. It would be great to have him back in the squad and give us another selection option.”

Looks like me and er`indoors will be off to the reserves next Wednesday then!
