With Tom Williams laid up with a bad injury the focus has turned onto who will fill in at left back for the remainder of the campaign.

The current favourite is Shane Blackett.

Blackett, who has returned after suffering two shoulder dislocations, looks like securing the left-back slot for the visit of Cheltenham this Friday.

Hopefully Shane will have ditched the luck that saw him score an own goal in his previous appearance, against Southend.

As well as having the wife as a big fan, Darren Ferguson is also a fan of the player signed from Dagenham and Redbridge stating,

“It’s a blow to lose Tommy as he was playing very well, but Shane has played well at left-back in the past and I’d have no problems throwing him in.”

Let`s hope Shane can do the business as we look to leap-frog Leicester and go to the top of the table.
