Phew! It all kicks off when you go away for a few days doesn’t it?

Draws and defeats to non-league sides, reveal of the new kit, threats from Lincoln over Simon Yeo and so on…

Oh Poppies…

After making up for the defeat to Stamford by giving Sligo a hiding on the tour of Ireland, POSH got back to their non-league fearing ways at the weekend with a 3-3 draw with Conference North side Kettering Town.

A few years ago this wouldn’t have been a big deal, but the Poppies have been struggling in recent seasons and of course had the Paul Gascoigne debacle last year.

Their current manager arrived from UCL side Buckingham Town (yep, the same league as Bourne, Deeping and Yaxley) so you would have expected a positive result.

The thing with pre-season is that they resemble Sven era England friendlies with players you haven’t seen before coming on for half and hour, only to go off and never be seen again.

Hitson off…

It’s a very long story, but I hate Histon.

I don’t like the stupid narrow access road round the cricket club boundary rope and the tesco value gazebo which represents the club shop.

Oh and I like them even less because they beat POSH as well.

No need for panic…yet.

Especially seeing as those that were there have commented that it was a more positive performance.

Get yer kit on!!!

One good piece of news to come from the club in recent days was Miss Peterborough Aeisha Hassan modelling the new shirts from Diadora.

The blue shirt has silver and white trim, which is new for POSH. It looks very very smart though. The red and white are the same design in different colourways and I have to say that the club have made a great decision in linking up with the Italian company.

As the club have brought out about 3247564 shirts in the last season and a half, they have reacted to immense fan pressure and reduced prices.

Each new shirt will cost only £34.99 but if you buy more than one the price reduces dramatically.

Two are £59.99 and all three £79.99 which is a £25 saving.

Good work POSH.

Yeo

It all seems to have gone a little quiet, but as I was heading off to catch Eurostar the other day, the radio was buzzing with news that Lincoln were reporting POSH to the FA for their efforts to sign Simon Yeo.

Barry Fry was quoted as saying that he would be interested in the player even if there was a small amount of compensation to pay.
