A third consecutive Championship defeat, this time at the hands of Nottingham Forest, has left us reeling.

We`re stuck in the relegation places and already there is a little bit of a gap developing between ourselves and those clear of the drop zone.

On Saturday we once again conceded two goals in less than ten minutes, a common fault in recent weeks.

With international football taking centre stage we`ve two weeks to contemplate how this situation is going to be reversed. Our club captain, Russell Martin has his views, remarking,

“We believe we are good enough to stay in the Championship. But we must prove it by winning ugly. Once teams get ahead in this league they know how to defend and at the moment we have to be more clever.”

Is Russell right, do we need to ditch the finesse and grind out ugly results or will it all come good in the end regardless?
