Football League sponsors Sky Bet have installed Peterborough United as clear favourites to beat their visitors AFC Wimbledon in the League One clash today.

Posh v AFC Wimbledon - Sky Bet EFL L1

Peterborough United v AFC Wimbledon
Location: ABAX Stadium
Date: Saturday, 24th February, 2018
Kick-off: 15:00pm

Posh have been installed as clear favourites to beat the Wombles which will hopefully kick-start their push for a play-off place come the end of the season.

Sitting in 10th place, five points from the play-offs, Posh need to go on a winning run and after drawing their last three matches, they need to start converting those draws into victories and what better way of doing that by beating the struggling Wombles?

Wimbledon are three places outside the relegation places but just a point ahead of Oldham Athletic who occupy 21st place. They won their last match one-nil thanks to a 93rd minute winner against Bristol Rovers last Saturday but prior to that they`d lost their last four matches.

Have the bookies got their statistics right by pricing Posh at evens to win with a draw and a Dons victory both priced at 13/5? Posh have often struggled against sides in the lower regions of League One but they need to buck that trend today.

Can Posh win their first League match since 20th January or will the Dons take some or all of the points? Predict the Posh v Wombles score HERE.

Back in November, the two sides battled out a two-all draw with all four goals coming in the first half. The Dons opened the scoring in the first minute before goals by Danny Lloyd and Marcus Maddison, via the penalty spot, gave Posh the lead. The hosts levelled on the stroke of half-time when Cody McDonald’s first league goal for Wimbledon earned them a draw. Both sides moved up one place with the Dons in 21st place and Posh in 8th.

Last season at the ABAX Stadium, the Dons played twice at the ABAX Stadium. The first was a three-two defeat in the EFL Cup in a game in which Tom Nichols not only scored a goal for Posh but he scored two with the winner coming in the 90th minute! The League match saw the visitors take all three points with a one-nil victory thanks to a Tom Elliott 10th minute goal.

Will the Dons repeat their victory this season or can Posh get their first ever League win over the Dons in four attempts? The bookies certainly think so but what do you think the score will be?

There are five predictions vying for the top spot but the prediction edging ahead by just one vote is for a two-nil victory by Posh. You can get odds of 17/2 for that score.
