Aaron Mclean was the hero and villain on Saturday as he returned to London Road for the first time since his January move to Hull City.

He scored the only goal of a tight game to take all 3 points back to Yorkshire, but he believes Posh could be a surprise package in the Championship this season. Come the end of the season, McLean believes Posh could challenge for a place in the Championship play-offs.

Mclean told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: “I told my team-mates before the game that anything we get from this fixture would be a bonus and Posh didn`t disappoint me.

They play great attacking football at a fast pace and I`m confident they will win plenty of games this season.

If they get on a run they could make the play-offs. There is a lot of quality within the squad.”

Mclean received a good reception from Posh fans both before and after the game as well as when he was substituted midway through the second half.
