So the FA Cup dream died a slow and painful death over at White Hart Lane and now is the time to concentrate on trying to pull out of the relegation zone.

But, before we get back to League action, let`s take a look at what the managers made of yesterday afternoon, first up is Mark Cooper, who commented,

“I think they can win it.”

Hardly a sensational statement there, any of the top half of the Premier League could go all the way this year. But, returning to the side Spurs fielded, Mark remarked,

“We thought Harry might rest a few, but he wanted to keep the continuity going.”

“I would rather he played his best players. My lads had the chance to play against some of the best players on Europe and really enjoyed it.”

Fine sentiments, it would have been moral sapping to lose to their stiffs. However, before finishing, he praised one man who might be, somewhere, in Fabio Capello`s thoughts, even at this late stage,

“But Joe Lewis kept the score down. He really didn`t deserve to be in a side that conceded four goals.”

He didn`t but sceptics will point out that two four goal hauls conceded in consecutive weeks!

Over at White Hart Lane, Harry Redknapp had this to say about his team selection,

“I didn`t want to take liberties.”

“There was a full crowd and they paid good money to watch us. We wanted to entertain them and that`s what we did. I can`t see any reason for any club not taking it seriously.”

If only all managers thought along those lines then the FA Cup might regain some of that magic it has lost!
