With Darren Ferguson anxiously awaiting the date of his FA hearing with regards to his recent outburst of verbal dialect that upset the referee, our manager has spoken out about what triggered his reaction.

Talking to the media, ahead of our eagerly anticpated clash with Crystal Palace, a clash that is being televised by Sky Sports on Bank Holiday Monday, he`s remarked,

‘I was angry that night about West Brom’s time wasting. I stopped the watch at one throw-in and it took them about two and a half minutes to take it.”

‘But I admit I lost my head after the game and I shouldn’t have done. Referees are only human after all and they make mistakes.”

‘I have pleaded guilty and I have asked for a personal hearing so that I can apologise. It probably won’t be enough to save me from a ban.”

‘Normally I am very calm, but I have to be aware of my responsibilities at all times.’

Very admirable words but like we`ve mentioned earlier, have a word with your dad he seems to have a magic knack of escaping leniently when it comes to things like this!
