Posh – Darren`s Future Poll!

Our most recent poll, posted on the back of the dreaded vote of confidence, asked if you thought there was a chance Darren Ferguson could be sacrificed.

On the face of it, back-to-back promotions would seem to make such a decision seem utter madness but as Darragh MacAnthony has recently stated – football is a results game.

Looking at the results of the poll, 40% believe that there is absolutely no chance of Darren being sacked, but, 38% obviously viewing our perilous results, believe it`s on the cards.

Thankfully, the balance towards it being an improbability increases when you consider a further 20% went for the no chance option as opposed to the 7% who went for the – it`s possible option.

So how does Darragh see it?

Returning to the interview on Radio Cambridgeshire, he remarked,

‘This is the first rough spell he’s had in his managerial career and it’s up to him and his staff to work through it. He knows he has my backing, but he also knows he is in a results business.

‘If we were relegated at least Darren has experience of getting a side out of League One! But we are not going to be relegated.

‘If we were losing badly and not trying very hard I would have a problem, but while the effort and endeavour is there and we are being unfortunate I don’t have a problem.

‘It’s not a time for panicking.’

I`d say he`s reasonably safe then wouldn`t you!
