When the news broke that season ticket prices would be frozen, well before our promotion fate was known, we ran a couple of articles boasting that they`d climbed through two significant barriers.

The first was 3,000 and the second was 3,500.

Well sales have continued to exceed all expectations and Barry Fry, with his usual great gusto, has proudly boasted that they`ve now gone through the 5000 barrier.

Speaking to the local media about this fantastic achievement, Fry remarked,

‘I put the sales down to the combination of some fantastic football, fantastic support and a fantastic gesture from Darragh to again freeze the price. They have even exceeded Darragh’s expectations who had budgeted for 4,000 season ticket holders next season.

‘It shows how much the players and manager have captured the imagination with their success and the aim is to have average crowds of around 10 to 11,000.

‘The away support will be massive for a lot of games and we hope to have a few sell-outs along the way.’

Damn, why is the new season so far away? Bring it on is all I can say!
