The new fad, amongst those with a big stadium, is to use the said property to increase their revenue streams.
After Newcastle United announced they had a new name, well until the end of the season, for St James Park, the London giants of Spurs and Chelsea have advertised for businesses to hand over large wads of cash so that they can secure naming rights.
Typically, Barry Fry has come up with a great one-loner that sums it all up really, commenting,
“St James Park could be called Donald Duck Park but it would still be a fantastic stadium to play in.”
