Sat in front of the television last night waiting for the draw for the second round of the Carling Cup to take place on Sky Sports, I felt somewhat bemused.

Now either I missed something or in the milli-second I looked away from the screen I must have missed the seeding explanation.

Nevertheless it proved to be an amusing draw with even those pulling the teams out of the hat seemingly not quite sure what was going on.

With tie after tie being drawn and still no sign of our beloved Posh I half started to think wed been omitted from the draw and then, still baffled by the apparent lack of explanation relating to the draw, we were suddenly paired with Ipswich Town.

The tie, to take place in the week commencing August 24th, will see Darren Ferguson renew acquaintances with a former team mate in the shape of Roy Keane.

It promises to be a feisty affair down at London Road!
