Darren Ferguson is facing a potential defensive crisis this weekend.

Craig Morgan and Gabby Zakuani, who is on loan, are both on international duty and Chris Westwood battling for fitness so the Peterborough manager is bracing himself to play a midfielder, Charlie Lee, in central defence: ‘Westwood went for a jog on Sunday and felt his calf,’ Ferguson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire. ‘Charlie Lee will play there on Saturday, but we’re hoping Westwood will be fit as well.’

Keiran Charnock could be an option for the match with Walsall on Saturday, but he is out of favour.
