After getting back into the game after conceding that early goal, going in level at half time seemed to be within our grasp and then????

Well we all know the rest is history, a flash of red, down to ten men and trailing 2-1 at the break!

Whether it was red card offence remains to be discussed but Darren Ferguson, in his post match interview, felt very strongly about the incident and knew it was a game changing decision taken by Mr Taylor.

This is what Darren had to say,

“I will have to see it again before I know for sure, but the referee did seem to get the red card out quickly.”

“Joe was trying to get out of the way but he`s gone down and the referee`s given a penalty.”

“That was the moment that changed the game.”

“Until that stage we thought we had a chance of going through.”

Some of us even thought we had a chance of going through when George Boyd made it 2-2 but some things are just not mean to be!

Barnsley, at London Road on Saturday, let`s look forward not backwards now!
